Founded in 2025, the project, “The Iterate Academy” aims to bring in the necessary revolution in India that would expand the reach of social organizations who are serving the socioeconomically challenged communities in varied ways. The primary mission of the project is to meet the resource needs of NGOs working in the country by introducing the innovation of 3D printing that would reduce the production costs for NGOs, while giving them access to necessary means for work.
Towards this end, the preliminary step for the project involved making a comprehensive handbook that would act as the first go-to-resource for NGOs to understand the uses of 3D printing, its efficiency as an alternative, and the components that make up a 3D printer. In addition to this, young children associated with the target NGOs would be trained in the basics of 3D design through interactive workshop sessions, for them to be able to materialize their imagination into creative models.
On the front of resources, the target NGOs would be approached for elaborate responses with respect to their everyday item needs. Following this, the project will prepare a catalogue of items that would improve the work for the NGOs, and organize a fundraiser whose proceeds would go towards 3D printing furniture items and regular resources for the NGOs.
